Green Open Brain Coral

I moved my Green Open Brain Coral from the bottom of the tank to approximately 2/3 up in the tank. For more than a week now, it opened bigger than ever. I assumed because of the brighter light. Today however, it didn't open up 1/2 way. Confused. Any thoughts?

I think you poted in the wrong forum....Open brains need to be keept on the sand bed. It is not opening up so much becuase of the more intense light and improper placement.
