i should have mentioned they really are green. so i take it they are regular green polyps?

also there white stripes as well.

lol too funny

i just got a few of them also ive always heard of them as button polyps whether brown or green

good (LUCK) with em lol

thanks guys.

yeah im trying to get more of a variety of zoos. wasn't sure category these would fall under...ie/ what others would trade for a frag of mine.

I just had to kill about 20 to 25 of these polyps.IMO they are like colonial polyps and will take over your tank. They were stinging the crud out of my bonsai.

One of my first corals I bought 3 years ago. What was once a small piece in the sand bed, has migrated up my live rock and is taking over. Mine are metallic green with long tenticles (very cool looking), but I would rather have the space for more colorful zoas. hey are at the bottom of my live rock, so I would have to remove the entire baserock in order to chip off a section of the rock. I have in the past cut off a few polyps, but they emit large qtys of toxic slime. Can these be killed off with chemicals like with aptasia?

Those big polyps peel off pretty easily & newbies are thrilled to get them (just like I was at 1 time). You can probably kill them off with kalk paste, if you insist.
