Green sinularia advice

This guy hasn't grown in about 5mths and may have regressed. Pretty much everything else in the tank has grown and is doing well, including some corals I consider less hardy and more demanding in terms of light.

For flow, I'm only running the koralia in the upper right because that's what the tank told me to do after lots of trial and error. I didn't think I'd have to move the sinularia (right side) but I'm open to cutting it now, even though it was nearly impossible to attach it in the first place.

If you've had success with green sinularia, I'd appreciate the insight. Should I cut and move?

Why move it, looks fine where it is and it looks healthy. I've got one also and I can tell you that it's a slow grower. I had to start taking pictures of it just to make sure. When I got it, it was a very tiny frag and I mean tiny about 1/2 inch and now it's about 3" tall with several branches sprouting out. I'll see if I can dig up some pictures of it.

They like med/strong light and a good bit of flow. With what i see in your tank it should be about right where it is. If that spot doesn't have a good amount of flow play around with your power heads and do it that way. Yes they are hard to get attached, I super glued mine to a frag plug.

One other thing, how long has it been since you took apart your power heads and cleaned them out? I do mine monthly and it really makes a difference getting the slime out of the inside of the impeller and it's housing. I ask this because you have a lot of growth on both of your power heads.

I usually broadcast feed my corals but for the first time 2 days ago, I stopped all the pumps and target fed including my green sinularia. The polyps have extended like never before and it turned bright aqua when it has always been a dull beige. Try feeding yours if you haven't and has anyone else seen this quick of a response?

I never feed my sinularia. they get what the fish get and what they leave behind. I frag mine every few months or they overtake other coral. good light and flow. don't think the green variety would make any difference.

Yeah, it doesn't look happy at all. It's close to the top so I think the lighting is ok. Flow might not be enough in that spot. Can you put another power head on the left side and give it medium flow? Or it's water condition. May be low on some elements like *iodine, strontium, etc. Especially if you don't do much water changes. Or there may be a build up of toxins from other corals? Maybe try carbon and gfo if haven't. My sinularia is doing really well since I got it as a small 2 inch frag about 6 months ago. It's in a 5 gallon tank so I know the water stability is not that much of a factor. I don't dose anything because I do huge WCs once a week to replenish trace elements from my salt mix. I do adjust adjust my kh to about 10. I know there must be chemical warfare going on in my tiny tank full of corals so I use huge amount of carbon plus recommended amount of gfo. So these are a few things you might try. Here's a pic of my sinularia.
