Green Star Problems

I have several large green star polyps. One colony recently for the last 2 months has for some reason changed its cycle. It opens at night when the lights are off, vs, during the day, its closed. The other GSP open during the day.

Nothing has changed in my tank and all have be in my tank for over 3 years now.

Has this happened to anyone else?

No nothing has changed in my tank. Dosing is done via pumps. Looking right now, night LED'S are on GSP out fully. I wonder if it has to do with some sort of gravitation pull of the moon??

Well it looks good at night at least.

Mine used to be on an afternoon/ evening schedule - they would open up 6 hours after lights came on, and 'go to bed' at least several hours after the lighting flicked off.

If they're healthy, I wouldn't worry about it. Just another wonder of the sea world.

I have colonies that sometimes are open an hour before sunrise with no lights on. My tank is near a window however and i figure they now have a natural cycle.
