Green Start Polyps

Hi Eberybody,

Having a bit of a problem with my green stars, they seem to be coming out no problem but seems to be reduced in size since bought. I have no problems with shrooms and leathers in the tank but these seem to be failing.

Any advice welcomed !!!

Paul.

dont seem to have problems with params, other corals seem fine, bubble, shrooms, leathers etc etc.

maybe water flow ?? its at the bottom of the tank and not getting too much at the mo, do they need strong water flow ?

Mine close up when they are receiving too much light, either because they are too high up in the tank or because the lights are on too long.

Mine like as much light and flow as I can give them. They are in a corner that receives a lot of detritus too. They seem to like that. I get new polyps forming daily. Here are my tank parameteres:

15g
2x65w PC
SG: 1.0255-1.026
CA: 435ppm
MG: 1350 ppm
ALK: 9.5 dkh
Nitrates: Undetectable API
Phosphates: less than 0.1 but not zero.

(2) Koralia 1's and (1) koralia nano on timers for flow.
MJ 1200 for return on SCWD.

Lots of light, lots of flow. Tank is less than two months old but at that growth rate i'm going to have to start trimming.

Yes Paul GSP like lots of flow. The best way to get them to grow fast is to place them right next to your sps coral.... just kidding

mine did not look as big as when i bought them give them time...mine are right under my halides and love it before you know it the will be growing like weeds.

good luck
