Hello everyone,
I bought a green tip toadstool that looked in bad shape at a LFS for really cheap(because of its condition) and it has been about a month now. The coral took some time but with some TLC in my aquarium it has come out, expanded and all its polyps are out, great turn around!
The problem is that its suppose to be a green tip toadstool and the polyps that are on it are as white as can be. the stalk is healthy and a nice pink/purple and the head is wide, so did it just lose its Zooxanthellae causing the poylps to turn white? And if so does anyone know if and possibly when the coral will regain its Zooxanthellae?
Specs and lighting are all fine I have a thrieving reef, it wasnt me that did this like I said I bought it neglected.
Thanks for any input, she is a good looking piece and Ill be happy either way but I would love her to get some colour back in her!
Cheers
Ian
