in a large tank if there are plenty of caves and hideing places could my coral grouper coexist with a blue lined grouper?
Do you know the exact scientific name of your coral grouper? There are several species of grouper that share the same common name. There is a ferocious species that is sometimes sold in the trade, it shares the same characteristics as some of the other coral grouper species when young. Its name is "Plectropomus Maculatus", if you have unwittingly got one of those, then the blue line will soon be gone, as will anything else you put in there. They grow into huge groupers, and everything will disappear very fast.
I speak from first hand experience, I have kept one, I foolishly purchased one when it was young, thinking it was a small miniatus grouper. How wrong I was.
I think you have a few grouper threads going; they are impossible to answer without knowing about your tank. Size/ What's in it?, etc. If this is the 75 with the Archerfish, IMO, its way to small for any grouper, much less 2.
i have to ask. whats an archerfish???
it is a fish found in salt, brackish and fresh water habitats in estuariesmangrove swamps and shallow reefs at times it has the ability to spit water at bugs and other creatures in bushes and branches above the water and eats other things it can fit in its mouth ive had them in a brackish setup months ago before i converted them to full salt they dontbother the grouper but know to stay out of his way unlike my yellowtang here is a pic of one,but any way how should i go about introduceing the groupers?
how should i go about introducing the two groupers?
