It varies by quite a bit so I don't think an average is going to do you much good. I've had colonies do almost nothing for nearly a year and then spread like wildfire. I've had other colonies in the same tank sprout a new polyp at such a predictable rate that you could set your watch to it.
Certain colonies do better than others I have sunny d's wwith a new growth every week or so. I got 2 heads of rose nebulas 2 months ago it's at twelve heads now. At the same time my watermelons and radioactive dragon eyes have maybe added 2 or 3 polyps in that sane time. So much depends on the polyp itself, it's placement water quality lighting...you just never know.
