GSP and lighting

I've read that gsp coral can live in any amount of light True or False?
Recently i got a frag from a friend it was going good and all stretched at the top of the tank, but due to space and a new scape i moved him a little lower down. a few polyps extend only to retract after ah while. What will be his fate if i leave him at this location?

How long has it been since the move? Most people have trouble controling GSP rather than trouble with lighting. I think "any" lighting might be a stretch, but seems to not be very picky. However, GSP are very touchy about being moved, although they generally don't die, it can take a while for them to reopen. I moved mine and it took almost a week before I saw the polyps again. It's doing well now :)

As luck would have it my GSP opened out to full bloom today. guess it was really still settling down to its new spot. Now lets hope it spreads like wild fire. unlike most ppl, I want the gsp to spread all on my rocks.

Glad to hear it. Good luck :). I like them too, I hope mine spread so they end up looking like grass

It will cover the other natural items in the thank through wont it?? I hope you don't mean EVERYTHIING... ??
