Hey guys I have had the same mother colony of gsp for over 4 years now with many other colonies started from this one. It is a metalic green gsp and I have 3 pretty good size pieces all placed in different locations in my 135 gallon tank. It is lit by two 250 watt radiums and two 80watt t5 actinics. All 3 major colonies are very dull in appearance unlike the vibrant metalic green it was showing up till about a month ago. The only thing I have done different is ramped up my feedings because I added a vlamingi tang that is very large. All other lps, sps and softies look fine just have never seen this dull color before. It was about a month after the addition that I noticed this. My metal halides have been running for about 14 months. I hopefully will have some new ones in the budget for next month. Any ideas? Params look fine.
Thanks for your time.

are they still opening and closing normally? If the only difference is that they look dull I would attribute that to your bulbs being old. GSP should have no problems growing still, but to get that sheen back you will probably need to replace them.

Yea that was my first thought also. But all other corals lps and sps look like they allways have. Definately time for bulb replacement.
Thanks
