GSP not opening

I introduced some GSP into my tank a few days ago, along with a kenya tree and some other zoas.

The kenya tree and zoas are looking great as of yesterday. The gsp still hasn't opened up.

My parameters are good
nitrates 0
amm 0
calcium 430
dkh 8
phos 0 to very little

I thought these things are supposed to grow like weeds. I wonder what gives. Could it be getting to much light? I know that the guy I bought it from had a small 4 lamp T5 retro with no reflectors. I am running a 6 lamps aquactinics fixture.

Do these guys just take a little time? Thanks in advance.

I got some gsp fragged from a friend that took about 4-5 days to really open up. I was also concerned, but it went from completely closed to completely opened very quickly when it decided it was time.

My GSP does the same... from time to time it decides it's going to trow a fit and completely retracts for 3 or 4 days, then completely extends in about 20 minutes. Give it time.

just set it in one place and leave it alone. if you keep moving it around, it will take longer for it to settle and open.

My GSP took about 3-4 days to open up. I placed it towards the bottom of the tank to let it acclimate to my lighting.
