GSP overtaking mushrooms

So my Green Star Polyps are encroaching on the space where my green stripe mushrooms are. The mushrooms are staring not to open up, because of the GSP. I tried to see if I could push back the GSP but they are encrusted on the rock and give me no easy way to push them back. Any suggestions on how to keep the GPS from covering the mushrooms? Or do I have to relocate the mushrooms?

If you can get the rock out, you can peel off the mat of GSP with a razor blade and move them somewhere else. If there is a hint of their mat left, they'll grow right back. They're like cockroaches.

I've heard of people painting over the top of them with Kalk paste or super glue.

The only thing worse than Green Star Polyps is Brown Star Polyps. They have killed everything from Seriatopora to Hydnophora and Montipora in my tank.

Over time I have lost any remorse for digging up every sign I see of them with a razor blade or Exacto knife and covering up their spot with a bigger rock.

Green stripe mushrooms pop up all over the place, too so it sounds like you're looking after the lesser of two evils to me.

Good luck!

i happen to like my gsp hehe
but yes you need to cut of the gsp from the rock and move it over .
easyer then cuting the shrooms and trying to get them to attach with out help.
but if you move the shrooms ill take a couple.

Im with Zann, I like my GSP and BSP but you have to control where they grow. I use the exacto with extreme prejudice.

Seems like I go from one plague to another I started with xenia and now GSP. I guess it is better to have the problem of growth then trying to figure out why things are not growing.
