Hair algae and Feather Dusters

I am experiencing my first algae bloom in my young tank and was concerned about how the Feather Dusters will handle it.

Is there anything I should do ?

Thanks T Kish

I'd make sure the feather duster is in an area with good flow. Manually keep the immediate surrounding area clear. If the tank is less than a few months old I would not stock anything that can not move on it's own.

Are the parameters far enough along to consider the tank cycled? If not, have patience and don't add anything more.

The Feather Dusters were on the rock when purchased and the water test have been perfect for a month now.

They are in an area with very good flow.

The only thing I have added to the tank after one month of running is some Hermit Crabs and some Snails and all are doing great after about two hours of acclimation.

Thanks T Kish
