Dave....Most likley a build up of Nitrates and Phosphates and the Hair algae is feeding on it, so that is why your test kits may not show anything. Pull as much as you can out, run a phosphate remover ( Phosban...etc) A good natural cure is to find a large Sea Hare, I know a place that carries them on a regular basis....they are usually about $25.00. These ones are about the size of your fist and plow thru Hair algae / Calurpa like its cool.
thanks Blugobi. I don't have much. it's just starting in a few spots. I know from past experance it grows and spreads quickly. would like to nip it at the bud before it gets out of hand. thanks for the reply.
