Hammer Coral - Something strange?

He is happy with his surroundings. Keep doing what you are doing!

Wow, I just reread my post and realized it was quite possibly the worst response to a question I have ever given. My internet can be pretty slow here and I only saw the first pic is all I can think of.

Sorry about that. Is the coral still in decline? Euphyllia sp. normally don't harm each other. The tang may be the culprit. Feeding him Nori sheets usually bstops them nipping on corals. They have been known to do this if there is something lacking in their diet. They eat meaty foods but this isn't their preference.

if you can, carefully remove the coral and frag off the dead heads, as well as the damaged ones.

Save the healthy ones, and hopefully they will regrow into a nice colony

No worries!

I am not really sure what caused the demise but it started after I had moved the torch away. The tang only nipped at it when it saw it dying. I am feeding it nori and mysis and pallets. So I am not holding the tang responsible any more.
