Hammer not extending, HELP!

My wall hammer was doing great and out of nowhere it started to not extend like it had. It has gotten to the point where I can't even feed it because the polyps are so unextended. I don't see any tissue recession or signs of disease. Everything else in my tank is flourishing. I have new lights and do weekly water changes. What could be wrong?

My parameters are:

0 Nitrate
0 Nitrite
0 Ammonia
pH-8.2
Temp-78-80
0 Phosphate
13-14 Alk

What do you mean by new lights? Just bulbs or a whole new lighting setup?

I got new bulbs. The hammer was showing this problem before I got the new bulbs though...

What is your SG at?

Sounds like your ALK is high. Mine is at like 7.7 and I am trying to get it up past 9. My hammer and frogspawns look fine. I think the ideal is 11 ALK but I am not sure.

If your ALK has always been this high it is probably not the issue.

A picture might help some if that is possible.

I keep my S.G. at 1.024, I will try to get a pic. It has looked better lately. I've been trying to feed it everyday and it seems to be helping. I also moved it away from a leather coral that may have been putting off toxins.
