Hammer splitting???

Is my hammer coral splitting or whats going on with it?

Looks to me, like one head turned into two. All part of the growth process.

No. Well, from what I see, but it is small to tell. Usually what you see is a bubble with a tissue connection amongst polyps. Check out my hammer for what I am referring to in my previous comment;look at the middle of pic:

Looks like it's splitting to me. My frogspawn when it was about that size did the same thing. When I got it, it was short and had 2 distinct separate branches. After a couple months one of the branches slowly widened and next thing you know there was a whole new head.

Like it forked basically. I've now got 5 heads total ad a result of those heads forking. I've also got around 10 little new heads popping out around the base.

This happened over the course of about 6 months.

yup, splitting/branching. Keep calcium levels and alk up and watch it grow!
