hard spot on colt

A while ago there was an aiptasia growing from beneath my colt and I thought this hard grey spot was where the aiptasia was stinging the colt but I nuked the aiptasia a couple months ago and the spot won't heal.

Not sure what I am dealing with. Any ideas?

Not sure how evident it is but the hard spot is the gray thing on his base to the bottom right.

I personally wouldn't worry bout it... but take a clean razor blade and cut it out if you are concerned

Thanks. He hasn't been a "happy" coral since the aiptasia incident. Prior he would open up and really spread out, now he stays shrunk down most of the time. Trying to identify possible avenues to bring him back to his former state.
