harlequin shrimp quick questions

While moving rocks i killed one of my harlequin shrimp. i am down to one. im not sure if its the male or female. now this may sound like a dumb question but i go out and buy another one will they fight if they are the same sex? or will one change to the opposite sex? will they pair always or no?

My reply doesn't exactly answer your question but I had 3 harlequins and never could tell what sex they were, however I never had any issues with them. 2 of them shared a cave (assuming Male/female pair) and the third stayed in another area of the tank (250g, so the had lots of room).
