I emailed LiveAquaria about them mixing well with other shrimp. They said in a large tank that they would have no problems with other shrimp

I have a pistol shrimp I want to put in a smaller system. As well he is fun to watch dozer-ing sand around I want to buy some reef schooling fish and what-not and I don't need him popping my fish and killing them.

If I take him out would I need to put his goby with him or would it adapt without him?

I guess I also missed the part about them not eating brittle stars tube feet... Are brittle stars not as tasty as asterina? I had looked into them a long while back, but grimmaced at the thought of feeding them live starfishes and (mistakenly, it appears) thinking I couldn't keep a starfish with those shrimp.

Thats a good question that I dont know the answer to. Prob a great question for the reef fishes section.

Everything Ive read says they wont even touch brittles. Some said it was because of how fast moving brittles can be. Who Knows ?
