Can i keep a harlequin tusk in a mixt reef and i have two clams i'm worried for my snails and cleaner shrimp
what are your experience whit them
P.S. I know that it's whit caution in a reef but would like to know if there are more possitve experience than negative

They are generally safe with corals, but when they get large you have a good chance of all hermits and shrimp disappearing.

i keep a 4 inch in my 210 reef and a few cleaner shrimp and alot of hermits and turbos he occasionaly will eat a hermit or turbo if he goes a day or two with out feeding generaly it will be ok

Ones that start out shrimp safe usually turn on them eventually. They'll pick at the snail and hermit population, but they won't decimate it immediately so you can just replenish it periodically. Crabs are in trouble, too. If you really want one, and they are beautiful, you can work around their needs. You just need to keep an eye on your hermit/snail population so you can restock it when you need to. Urchins can also work out.

I'm not sure how they are with clams, though. You might want to wait for someone to respond who has experience with that :D.

Are they agressive whit other fish and still waiting whit somebody whit info if the clam are at risk

I have one in a 180 mixed reef with 2 large angels 3 large tangs no problems
I started another thread wondering if I could add a Fromia star

he's been really good still a juvenile has 2 faint spots on dorsal fin

This is my experience with these awesome fish as well. I kept mine with several clams with no issues. He did become fond of some small anthias though.

From what i'm reading there is no bad experience it's only my cleaning crew i got to watch and what size is juvi and adult i think my LFS has one near 6 "

I also have one in a 300 reef about 7" he is great with all other fish and coral. Hovever live shrimp of any kind won't have a chance of survival. He will hunt them down and feast out. I tried a pair of cleaner shrimp twice and he had an expensive dinner both times. Great fish though in my opinion..

I have the option to get a nice colored pretty tame tusk for a few coral trades. He would go in my 120g reef and is about 5" long. I have a cleaner shrimp which would have to find a new home I guess, but I am worried about my small fish. I have a pair of clowns, fairy wrasse, watchman goby and a royal gramma. I also have a 4" clam as well. So they don't pick on ANY corals?
