Has anyone caught a mantis shrimp?

I hear 2 clicks sometimes in my tank. I think I have not lost any of my clean up crew. I have looked around and do not see anything but is could be in the rocks.. What is the best way to catch it?

Two clicks doesn't sound like a mantis. Mantis shrimp pound away (assuming it's a smasher and not a spearer). Look up the coke bottle trick to catch a mantis.

I need to be right up to the tank to hear the clicks.. How much noise do they make

Depends on the size, but usually a lot louder than that. Could be a heater clicking on, snail being blown against the glass. a pump....

Or a pistol shrimp...
