has anyone checked out this site before ??

Yes, I have checked it out. One of the oldest sites there is. Lots of topics you have already seen were copied stuff from GARF, often without crediting. It is a mix of 90% great ideas and 10% ill-conceived garbage. The trouble is, you may not find out which is which until you have already started a project. In general, anything not involving wood or plywood is usually safe to try. Carpentry is not their forte.

It is a mix of 99% great ideas and 1% ill-conceived garbage. In general, anything not involving wood or plywood is usually safe to try. Carpentry is not their forte and it looks like some of the worst DIY articles like one that had you leave the stand frame sideways so it had no support, and a really bad plywood tank article are no longer listed, though they may be somewhere off the menu.

Their grunge is good but you can accomplish the same thing by doing some smart small purchases of live sand and rubble rock from various stores and other aquarists. Especially not needed if your live rock came direct from the ocean.

Otherwise, its a great one-stop-shop for repopulating your tank with various microfauna and flora you might have killed off tearing down tanks or exposing your rock to air or what have you.
