has anyone ever used pvc for a rock lift

i want to stack it like a lagon so like it rounds off to the front will i need multi teared like towers to get it to slope up or what

Is there a reason that you want to use the PVC? I only use it because I have no sand in that tank and all of the detritus is blown out from under the rocks. In my other tanks with sand I just stack the rock on the sand.

i wanted to use it to make a cave like system under the rock and so i can get more hight out of my rock without haveing to stack them to and only get half the hight

i want the tank to look like a lagoon like i said so i was gonna some home make a angled platform so ill post that when i get it done tommrow

Usually people use an egg crate frame so you don't need as much rock... since you really won't have a base.

You can do it by basically making a "stadium seating" type arrangement out of PVC and egg crate. I would use PVC for the frame, and zip tie the egg crate to the PVC for the "seats" or flat portions where the rock would sit. This way livestock can still move underneath and behind the structure.

There's a TOTM where the guy did it, I'll have to try and dig it up.

If you are going BB then create something for them to sit on. If using sand just buy larger rocks and stack.

Just dont create a rock slide....

Rock can't fall. Sheet of acrylic between rock and bottom glass. Only 4 rocks touch the sand.
