Has anyone seen a nem do this before?

Not sure if it is dying but i dont know what action to take.... this is day two
i posted another thread yesterday but still dont want to stress it out any more than it already is. tank parameters are good and i have had this setup for over a year and everyhthing else looks great.
is about the size of a 50 cent piece and looks like its turning inside out.

today i have zero and an api kit is also known to read ammonia when there is none... but today everything is clear... why does is look like crap during the day but when the blue lights come on for a couple hrs before before total darkness it looks better? mind you, it looked had looked healthy and happy for the first 3.5 weeks i had it and then this all of a sudden...

Can you test again your Nitrates?

I had a BTA that looked even worst than yours but for some reason it just settled after two weeks of being crappy. My guess is it didn't like the flow. However my other BTA liked the same flow so I guess the preference varies with the individual animal.

The reason I asked for Nitrates is I had an LTA moved from a spot due to high nitrates. It went back in after I did a week worth effort of water change
