Have $200 and need an In-sump skimmer for a 110gal reef, got around 23inches in height to spare....

What should I buy ????

I've heard great thing about Octopus skimmers as well as Euroreef. If you are handy you could DIY a skimmer. Most expensive part will be the pump. GenX can be had for less than the Sedra. I think the pump for my DIY ghetto skimmer is 110 bucks plus shipping.



Octopus has a skimmer that are 23-24" tall and around 180-230 bucks and rated around your tank size. Euroreef is going to be out of your budget for a tank your size.

i would say for the height the octo and euro reef are to tall for you. i would go with an asm G2 if you had a little extra.

Yah, the euroreef is going to be too tall I wanted one too but didnt have the headroom.. :-(

I used to use a AquaC Urchin skimmer for my 90 gal. It is an in-sump skimmer. It worked great for me.

There are shorter ER skimmers. The RS100 is 20" tall, but is $288. The RS80 "promo" is 22" tall, and is ~ $180. A bit small for that setup, but it fits and is in the budget range.
