In late December I purchased a blue tang. I foolishly didn't QT it, and within a few days I had an outbreak of ick. I moved all of my fish to the quarantine tank and started a copper treatment. I lost a couple, and the ones that survived, I was able to give to some friends just getting into the hobby again (after a month in QT). I went a full 90 days with no fish in my DT to make sure there was no more ick left in the tank. I purchased a powder blue tang a month ago and did 1 month in QT. I put him in the DT a few days ago and he was doing well. The first couple days he was swimming all around and checking out all the caves and hiding spots in the live rock. After two days he started pacing along one side of the tank, and as of this morning he is acting very erratic, pacing frantically.
I went a long time with no fish to make sure the ick was gone, but after taking to a friend recently who told me he found a long lost clown fish in his return, I decided to check my return this morning. Surprise, surprise, I found two blue-green chromis in there doing well. These were the first fish I purchase after my tank cycled over a year ago. I took them out and put them in QT, and they both look fine, no obvious sign of ick.
Since I had live fish in my tank over this past 90 days, is there still a chance that I could have ick? I don't see any visual signs of ick on my PBT, but should I move him back to QT?
