I have some xenia I got at the frag swap in Sept. I have had it in the past and it spreads like weeds. However, the clump I got at the frag swap was on a piece of rock and I have kept it isolated in the sand and it has not spread at all.

xenia acts differently for people depending on your system ,ive seen it thrive in some tanks and melt away in others, it seems to do the best in higher nutrient systems

I have plenty if you want some. like reefdiver said if you keep it isolated its fine. i have mine growing on the tops of some tonga branch rock.

Mine did great for about 5 months and then melted down. I have a little patch left. Did I cause the melt down?

I'm trying to get into the easier corals first then the more challenging stuff. I have had lots of fish only but not to much coral other than my tank now. So if your looking to rid yourself of a piece i'll definitely take it.
