Having a learning curve with photoshop part2

I couldn't update my thread, so here's a new thread as my response:

I played with photoshop for a few hours this morning with the help of gho's site, and I've seen what some adjustments can do-

I think I somehow have the hang of it. Here's a pic of a before and after:


Lights: 14K in middle and 20K on sides with T5 blues (the subject was just in between the two halides)

Definitely a marked improvement in my eyes!
 
CTRL+Shift+L = auto levels. In most photoshops. Takes the lightest area, makes it absolute white, the darkest area absolute black and balances the rest in between..
 
sick, Erik, sick. I tried it on a few more pics. Awesome. Hey, could you consolidate/merge this thread with the other one? I think this thread may be of good use to a few of us photo fiends out there.
