Hi -
I have a new tank which I'd rather not ship back for fixing, which has a 6" scratch on the inside. The tank builders (who will remain anonymous because they're handing this great and I'm not upset with them) would like me to have a window scratch company attempt to fix before looking at shipping me a replacement tank.
Do you guys think that a graffiti removal company will be able to grind down the glass (low iron specialty glass, of course) and repair the scratch without leaving any visible waves where the thickness changes? They claim they can - but as I'm sure anyone would be I'm a little concerned since I've spent quite a lot of money on the tank and it's brand new..
Mostly looking for moral support.. and maybe some of you have had scratches removed from glass (or done it yourself) and can give me a realistic expectation of results.
