Hawkfish in a reef tank?

I went by Fish World in Yukon yesterday and he had some beautiful hawkfish and I was wondering if they are reef safe. The owner said they were but i know they are predators and I have 2 coral banded shrimp and a tiger pistol shrimp(at least I think I do and my goby acts like I do). Not that I doubt him but I wanted more opinions before I bought one.

I loved my pixie hawk.

He just would eat just about anything with an exoskeleton (shrimp, hermits, etc.) though, so he had to go. He would also get to snails in their shell.

It is a shame that hawkfish are not more invert friendly, because they are just such personable fish.

They watch you just as much as you watch it.

Hawkfish are some of my favorites. Get a shrimp tank... Hawks will also land on anything that won't sting them. The love sitting on clams...not so good for the clam.
