Hawkfish vs. cleaner shrimp

Has anyone put a hawkfish and cleaner shrimp together? what were the results? I know the shrimp have to go in first, but I'd hate to spend the money on the shrimp if the hawk is going to eat them...

I had a longnose with my cleaner for the past couple of weeks and I dont think they even knew eachother were there. Unfortunately the longnose found the 1" gap at the back of my lid last night so it wont be an issue going forward :(

I've got my longnose hawk it's been a while in my tank not bothering my shrimp, infact I got a pair of skunk & blood shrimp. A few neon goby , watchman w/ pistol shrimp so far so good you gotta let feed this hawk well. It's cool looking fish, I had a fire hawk before this 1 is 1 of heck brutal really gonna go after your shrimp even a small dotty back or anything it could fit in its mouth lol.

My longnose hawkfish has never touched my large cleaner or red fire shrimp, but it seems like from whats written this isn't the norm.

If anything I'd add the largest shrimp you can find first and then add the hawk after, you may have more success if you are willing to take a gamble.
