i thought i was going to keep this fish, but it turns out i am moving to new england in a month. rather than set up an add-on to my current tank which was the original plan, i am looking to sell this fish to an experienced hobbyist that can prove they are going to be able to take care of the fish. orange spotted file fish are difficult fish to care for, and i will not sell it to someone who doesn't understand their requirements.

a little about the fish: i bought it from an online vendor in june. i trained it onto frozen angel formula, and then onto formula 2 flakes. he is fed 3x a day from an auto feeder, and he is fat and happy in this arrangement. they require several feedings a day. please understand that.

that being said, i will be in the columbus area tomorrow morning through early afternoon. if you are interested in the fish, please send me a message with your phone number. i will be able to meet you early on to pick up the fish. i will be calling people in the order i receive pms. i am asking $50, which i feel is a good price for this fish.

ahhh crap so tempting... wish you woulda sold him to me earlier I don't have room for him now... sending PM anyway

Isn't this fish an obligate acropora coral eater???? I didn't think any filefish was reef safe.
Cool fish though if you have the home for it.

Yeah thanks a lot for the awesome fish! Here he is being acclimated:

The dark coloration down the middle is just an illusion, his body does not curve in right there. He started eating crushed flake and cyclopleeze already. He will catch it in the water column as well as pick it from the ground or rocks. Right now he's sleeping in a corner.

There's a thread on the C-SEA RC forum by someone that's apparently pretty successful with a small group of them that he's acquired 1 or 2 at a time from a LFS or two. There's a LOT of good info there, as well as a few helpful links. It's well worth looking up.
