Heater's effect on Corals during fallow period

I was told by my LFS that if I raise my tank temperature up to 84-86 it would help with with the fallow period I'm completing. His reasoning being that the higher temperature speeds up the life cycle of the Ich. With that being said, would raising the temperature harm any of the corals I currently have in the tank? I'm relatively new to corals so all I have is a Duncan, Lobo and some GSP.

Thanks in advance for your help & advice.

Having just had a fallow period of 6 weeks in one of my mixed tanks ... I would say "Let It Be".. Trying to speed it up is just not stressing the rest of the tank .. 78 to 82.

86 can certainly stress/kill corals.

I would let the temp stay where you usually keep it, and stay fallow for 72-76 days.

I think that is a good decision.

I would believe that increased temperature would shorten the life cycle, but probably only by a few percent, and you won't be able to measure or even guess how much.
