Heavy dose of gfo

Tank is currently cycling using Tims one and only and ammonia

I was considering a dose of gfo in my reactor after its done cycling and before adding anything to remove any phosphates that may have leached from the rocks.

Would this disturb the biofilter?

I don't have a phosphate test at the moment but I plan on getting one soon to see if the rocks are in fact leaching

It won't hurt anything.

I would just check PO4 level and see if you need to do it. You need a phosphate test kit anyway.

My dry rock leached zero phosphate and I didn't need any GFO till about the 1 year mark when my stocking/feeding made it needed.
