After a 20 period away from the hobby, I have decided to bring my tank out of the garage and set it up in the house. With all the new technology I think it is time to give it a go. I've built a new sump, as my old wet dry was too small based on todays standards, and will be placing a protein skimmer and algae scrubber inside. I have some old Ehiem canisters that I hope to convert to a Carbon reactor. My interest in fish is to have a pair of Maroon Clowns as must haves. After that, I'm open to anything.

What size tank? What size some? Are you planning only fish or coral as well?

The tank is an Oceanc 48 gallon flat back hex and the sump is a 20 gallon tall.

It will be a mixed reef with about 7 small fish and a few corals. The new equipment expect for the sump will be rated for a 120 gallon and this tank will get transported to my work after a year.

These are some of the images of the project in progress to give a better idea of what I am doing. The tank is rather small but I will have a 20 gal sump and a second 10 gal sump for the protein skimmer.

Some of the rock I am curing. I have 41 lbs of rock from my old tank and will be getting another 20 lbs. I haven't decided on live rock or dry rock yet.
