My name is Adam, and I am new to the hobby. I set up a tank almost two years ago and finally went to my first CTARS meeting in June. I was poking around the forums and found you guys - a second reef club in CT! My wife will not be happy, but I have not told her yet.
I thought I should introduce myself as I am not sure how many people overlap between the two clubs.
A quick history. I have kept freshwater fish for years, and always wanted a saltwater aquarium. About two years ago, I converted a 29 gallon aquarium from freshwater to saltwater. I learned how to do many things the wrong way, and a few the right way. Right now, I have a clownfish, scooter blenny, and six-lie wrasse for fish; emerald crab, sand-sifting starfish, and various snails for CUC; and Crocea clam, Kenya tree, zoanthids, blue mushrooms, two NPS/LPS corals that arrived on my live rock, and my first SPS piece, a pocci, that I won at the CTARS raffle in June. Equipment is Radion Pro light, Tunze nanostream, and Remora HOB protein skimmer.
I hope to make it to a meeting soon.
