Hello everyone, I'm Margie. I've been in the fish hobby for years, but all with small tanks and just moved up to a 60 gal tank and im thinking im a lil over my head now and thats how I found this site. Looking for help because there is no turing back now. I've rehomed my other small fresh water fish and got two Blood-red Parrot Cichlid and kept 3 of my Corydoras paleatus. All are doing great together. I look forward in meeting you all. Thank you JohnL allowing me to join your group. Im very excited to learn and grow in the fish hobby.

Welcome Margie

Welcome to ReefCentral, Margie!

Looking forward to seeing some pictures of the new tank and inhabitants!

Blood Parrots are typically docile fish. They will start to recognize you and come to the glass when they see a familiar face.
That being said, they may also hide when they see a stranger.
Pretty easily maintained, with a good filter system.

Because of the shape of their mouth, it may take a bit to find the food they really like.
I always like Omega One. Not freeze dried. Simply dehydrated fish that was not acceptable for human consumption.
Use the Goldfish food. Keeps the color bright as well.

And welcome to Reef Central.
