I just wanted to say Hi! and introduce myself.. My name is Justin I live about 40min east of downtown Cleveland, in Perry, OH. I officially signed up to be a member a few days ago .. although I have been reading the forums for some time I am *still* working on getting my tank setup. I'm looking forward to attending tomorrow nights meeting.. seems right up my ally! .. and of course meeting fellow enthusiasts. In my endeavors to get a tank setup I have bought quite a bit of used equip from locals in the area and I have to say EVERYONE has been very helpful and more than willing to answer all my beginner questions..
General tank spec 33L custom stand with a 55g glass sump.
The tank is drilled with overflows and front & rear return lines (closed loop & sump). Ranco temp controller w 2x 150w titanium heaters. 25W UV. Euro-Reef RC80 Skimmer. Reef Fanatic ATO. JBJ 260w PC light (Purchased icecap 660 wired T5 4x48".. already buying new lights without even water in the tank.. I have it bad haha) I plan to use the JBJ until I build a custom canopy to house the T5's w lunar etc. The filter guys RO/DI 'Reef +1' (being installed today) I plan on getting a RKL to manage most of this..
I need to finalize the baffling in my sump.. Currently I have things setup as: Skimmer -- Fuge -- Return. I'm not sure if I should leave it like that or if I should resize the middle to something smaller and make that the return and have a large fuge on the right hand side with the return split with a valve controlling the return/fuge.. comments welcome!
I've included a few pics to get the idea of what I'm working with so far.
Glad to be a part of the crew!
Regards,
Justin
