Hello...Trying to add some non fish life

Hello all,
I haven't been to Reef Central in quite a while....I used to be on the site all the time in college when I had a couple saltwater tanks, but then I had to shut those tanks down when I moved on and I havent been in one place for a while until now. So....I'm back in the hobby. I have two 55 gallon tanks setup...they are all DIY with my own sumps, my own bioballs and everything. I have had the tanks setup for a couple months and the levels are all looking great. I have a couple fish in each tank....I needed something in there to provide some entertainment while I was waiting for everything to stabilize. So now I have the great joy/stress of trying to get some corals soft and hard started in the tank. First I know I need to get sufficient lighting, which I have been reading alot about...thanks reefcentral! So I havent made up my mind yet, but I just wanted to get on here and say hi.....I am going to try to update my progress and I'm sure I will have some questions. So Thanks and look forward to reading more posts.

ditch the bioballs if youre using live rock if you want to keep corals, they trap alot of junk in them and will raise your nitrates

Bio-Balls=Nitrate-Factory

Put live rock rubble in there instead, you never have to clean it.

Also, welcome to RC.

I just did this about a week ago, and Im very happy with it. Best of luck!
