you can do a drip method
this is actualy simple, a 5 gal bucket and a smaller container will help you alot, a simple cup and trashcan/tub will work too.
put the shrimp (or any critter) into the small container (1/4 gal give or take) then place this container into the larger one. take some air hose and tie it in a knot. then start a syphon and loosen or tighten the knot till you have about 1 drip per second. let this drip into the smaller container and leave it for a hour or more. the water will overflow the small container and into the larger.
if the salinity is different, just keep checking the water in the small container till it matches the tank water.
i use this method for EVERYTHING i put into my tank and often the corals open up quickly.
