Ok, so I had an Ich outbreak in the DT. I did the following:
- Went fallow in DT. ( About 10 weeks ).
- Started a small group of fish in QT about 4 weeks ago.
( Kole Tang, Desjardini Tang, Blue/Green Chromis )
- QT is 55G. Bare bottom, only some large PVC.
- Everyone was doing well and eating fine after 7 - 10 days.
- Started Cupramine and went to recommend dosage of 0.5mg (Salifert).
- Did a Prazipro treatment towards the end of the QT.
- Everyone looked good and was eating fine after the 14 days recommended on Cupramine.
- Ended up going a few more days, then ran CupriSorb to remove Cu.
- Salifert was reading 0.5mg prior to CupriSorb, then it was brought down to <0.1mg.
- After a few days, everything still looked good so I transferred to DT today.
After transfer, I noticed some white cotton looking stuff on the Desjardini. Initially, I thought it might just be stress causing a coloration change, but on closer inspection, it looked like something more serious. I suspect either Brook or fungus. I know the fungus is rare, but it does look kind of white and cottony. Looking for 2nd opinions. Please jump in and help me make sure I get this diagnosed correctly, so I can get to treating.
Also, I need a good link to pictures and the diseases... Anyone have one that I missed? It's kind of search and check method now. If not, we should start one here... I can unfortunately supply the pics for a few of them.
Thanks for the help.
Pics. He wasn't cooperating, so they aren't the best...
