Help Bleaching of Green Mushroom

Recently my Green hairy? ( not sure what it is) mushroom seems to be having a stressed out time.

he has been in my tank for about 4 weeks now with no real problems but i noticed that my metal halides were seeming to bleach out his color. so i hid the rock that has various kinds of mushrooms on it also under a shaddy ledge i will add pictures later.

im trying to figure out if its my lighting or if its another colperate which i think maybe the main cause. i have a Coral banded shrimp and he loves to go over to them and pick around trying to find loose bits of food after i feed them

im wondering if its maybe my shrimp or is it my light that is bothering it. and if the bleaching will reverse at all?

pics comming soon

My coral banded does the same thing, with no ill effects. What are your water parameters though, something there may be affecting it. Did you just recently switch to MH? Either way, if they are bleaching, it's usually due to lighting or temp swings. Where you have them right now looks pretty ok. Leave them alone for now, in about a week, move them out a little farther into the light. Then so on and so forth until they are where you want them. Eventually they'll color back up.

FWIW

do temp flucuations affect them drasticly? i go from 78 down to about 74 some times at night i really need to get my heater back in my sump i have been moving changing alot of things.

the only one who seems affected is the top left guy he was pink and green now he is totally white and green his mouth is a bit open but he dose seem to be doing better

i will work on my temp thanks

Yeah, that's a pretty drastic daily change. Most don't let their tanks swing but maybe 2 degrees. When we upgraded to our 75g we had some problems with the temp for the first week. Our temp was swinging 5 degrees at night, from 80 down to 75, and everything started bleaching. (I know it wasn't lighting because that didn't change) About a week after we got the temps regulated, everything started coloring back up, and is now fine.

Hope all goes well for ya :)

he seems like he might not be pulling through im wondering is there any reason i should worry about him deteriating in my tank or is this just fine?

I would leave him be for a few days. Make sure your alk cal ph and salinity are in line. What are your nitrates at? I wouldn't worry bout him until he starts looking like he's melting, kinda gooey like. You'll know when it starts happening, that's when you'll need to remove it. For right now though I'd make sure it has the light it needs, and try feeding it some flake food if you have any. All my shrooms LOVE flake food. If it eats, its still hangin in there :) I hope all goes well, give us an update in a couple days.
