Help!!! Carpet grabbed net and will not let go

I was trying to net piece of fallen coral and the carpet got the net and now has the whole thing and will not let go. This happened over 1 hour ago and still will not let go. What do I do? I cannot remove the net without hurting the carpet. This carpet is 10 inches across and bright neon green, I do not want to hurt it.

It will let go, leave them be for now.

Thank you That is what I did. I went to work with the net still in the carpet.

If it's still there when you get home, try an ice cube at the point of contact.
