I just purchased this snail last night and it’s been on the side of the tank for the most part until I just came home and found it on its back like it fell off, so panicking I turned it right side up then noticed it had some white spots on its shell that I didn’t notice in store and I just want to be sure it’s not a parasite and if it is, then how to treat it. And it was producing some rather stringy excrement that was stuck to the glass and waving around but I can’t find any info on it :/ so any help at all would be appreciated!

They definitely look like flatworms. No idea if they are harming him or just hitching a ride.
Btw chestnut cowries are not tropical and don't like water over 72 degrees...
I think it might be too late for him 
Cowries are nocturnal. I'd leave him overnight and see if he's moved by tomorrow. Is there algae in your tank to eat?
Money cowrie is the way to go next time. Make sure you have ample algae though and lots of hiding spaces. They are interesting however they are fully nocturnal and you will rarely see them. I have one I call 'Houdini' because I see him maybe once a month and only if I shine a light in the tank at night. They are good algae eaters though and will even eat cyano.
