I have setup a tank with a filter using saltwater from my current tank to shorten the cycle a bit. The tank should be ready by this weekend, but I need help in making sure I have everything I need...

>1. A 10g tank
>2. 10g Airpump
>3. Airstone
>4. Clip-on light
>5. Brine shrimp hatchery
>6. Heater
>7. Sponge filter

And I have a HOB filter for when they get a little bigger.

Please LMK if there is anything I am missing. As I placed the tile in last night and I am just holding my breath waiting for the eggs.

What kinds of food do I need to prepare for the fry?

Well you need to raise live rotifers. Rotifers are their first food. Very few people are good enough to pull it off without rotifers and the survival rate drops.

Also if you go brine shrimp route you will need a second brine shrimp hatcher. I would suggest you read Clownfishes by Joyce D. Wilkerson.. Everything you need to know is in that book..

Would you happen to know when I can order rotifier eggs?

Where can I order the book?

You can get rotifer cyst from Florida aqua farms https://3kserver7.com/~frank/secure/agora.cgi you can also buy a rotifer seive from them which you will need. But you can buy live rotifers from reeds aqua http://www.reed-store.com/ .

Live is easier but more expensive than cycst.

You will either need to raise Phyto to raise the rotifers or you can go the way that alot do and is buy Instanst algae or algae paste from reeds. They also sell a rotifer diet that works well.

As for the book it can be had most anywhere, Try amazon.

Check the breeders forum. There are very helpful stickys which will help including link culturing rotifers.
