fischtank, is the one that is buying my tank, for those that didnt know. Its a real good set-up.. just need some "tweeking" to make it that much better..
Here are some of the things that I recomend that he changes while it is down..
1. Hard lines from the chiller to the sump..
2. Hard pipe from the overflow to the sump.. this one might be kind of hard to do due to the over flow being from the states and all the pipeing here being metric. we all know how problematic that can be.
3. add fans to the sump, or to the stand.. or both. just to help keep the chiller from running all the time or as little as possible. I would recomend adding some air flow inside the stand and ontop of the sump. this should also help eleviate some of the mold problems that I had.
4. do something different with the big Mag pumps in the sump... I pulled out the one that was going to the skimmer and one of the bolts on it was rusted.. and as we all know.. thats never good. so mabey try and mount them outside the sump somehow.. also the sump is acrilic, so we can drill it if you want to try that..
thats about all that I can think of off the top of my head right now..
I figure a few of us could get together and help build a good solid tank right off the bat.. trust me, once it's up and running, you dont want to try and "fix" somthing..
Anyone else have any ideas??
