Help! Flame angel dying

Got him a week ago. He was good until today. He is dying and covered in white spots. I can setup a 10 gallon emergency qt. please advise on what I should do? I have no mess to treat anything right now.

Is it being chased or harrassed by anyone? Pulling him out now might kill him unless there are tankmates he can infect ...

Definitely not being chased or harrassed by anyone. There are other tankmates. Clown(no signs of ich), blue hippo(showing signs of ich) and a missing helfrichi firefish. Hippo is eating great and very active. Clown the same. Right now the angel is laying on a rock breathing heavy.

I had a clown that didn't take kindly to my other additions & eventhough my hippos didn't attack anyone, I think being a "busy" guy stresses newcomers out ... I wouldn't rule either of them out, imo ... missing the helfrichi would anger me, ALOT! lol ... I hope he pulls through - hopefully the more experienced ICH treaters will weigh in

Thanks. But i have a feeling hes not gonna make it through the night. And the missing helfrichi is angering me big time! I havent seen him in 4-5 days.

If this is ich, or a similar parasite, all of your fish are at risk. An entire system gets ich, not just one fish. I assume you never use a QT?

Unfortunately the angel did not make it through the night. Sucks!

Ive honestly never had to use a QT in the 10 years ive been in this hobby. I am setting up one. I have a small 10 gallon with equipment i used a few years back for frags. This will be a permanent qt. Ever since i lost everything to hurricane sandy my tank hasnt been right. Its very discouraging. I had to talk myself out of given up on this hobby.
