Help for my new 190 gallon reef tank

Hi! I am going to build a reef tank with the following dimensions: 78" x 23" x 23", but I am unsure about the circulation. The pump I am going to use is a Reeflo Hammer Head of 5800 gph. I was thinking of perforating the base in 5 holes; two with a 1.5" diameter to feed the pump and another three of 3/4 " with two closed loops each , I left them with these measures because if I left them 1", I was going to lose pressure and if I left them 1/2" it would be too much pressure, is this correct ?
I await your reply!
Thank you!!!

Hi
IM using a Hammerhead gold on my 4x2x2 closed loop & with a 5000lph sump return pump I estimate 40x turnover between the two pumps
When I originally plumbed the tank I was using a pump that had 1" inlet & 1" outlet on the casing so I drilled & plumbed it all 1" ,what a mistake :furious:
Well basically the pump was terrible (pondmate) & died after 2 months work so I bought a better pump IE the Hammerhead gold only to see it required a 1.5" inlet & 1" oulet, I couldnt redrill & Im not going to unless something drastic happens so at the tank so where it comes out 1" bulkhead I have gone up to 1.5" pipe to the pump inlet.
Now if I have the 1" oulet fully open it starves the pump & I get lots of bubbles so its throttled in about 1/8th of a turn consequently not a full outlet flow :furious:
My advise would be to drill the inlet holes to suit 1.5" bulkheads & the outlet for 1" bulkheads & You should be OK.
Also Im watching another tank build thread on here where the owner is using a Hammerhead pump & is going to put flow accelarators on his to increase the flow & if they work I will do the same

Hope this helps you some
