HELP for RLT anemone!

HELP please for a rose colored LT anemone! I have had for about a month - beautiful and looked pretty healthy until yesterday when it almost totally deflated - tenacles turned deep purple and are totally limp, foot isn't deflated much and is red with a few white noodle like things hanging out - but not too many. It isn't attached to anything but doesn't look dead yet.
QUESTION Should I move it to my refugium where I have miracle mud, pods and cheato??

Tested all water parameters last night - everything was very good. Blew some brine shrimp into it yesterday, because it didn't look too good, but I couldn't tell if it actually ate them.

Any advice?
 
It could just be expelling waste or doing a "water change." My BTA will deflate when I do water changes or if it is pooping. How are your lights? Are they weak or old? LTA's like bright lighting more than BTA's. My advice would be to just sit tight and watch, if it starts to melt get it out ASAP!

Tonight it still looks totally bad, tenacles look shrunken and flat - dark purple - it's foot is rose then white colored but is still a little inflated and I can see some of the white noodle looking things but they're shriveled up too.

I'm so sad, party because it was so beautiful in the tank and partly because I paid over $100 for it at Premium Aquatics in Indy and I hate losing such an expensive creature.

In case it might be something in the water or corals around it, do you think it might help to put it in my quarantine tank (10 g), same temp, ph etc. but with newly mixed salt water or relocate it to the sump/refugium in the garage???

I'm willing to try anything. I just hate to wait around for it to melt!
 
the noodles in the foot are not a good thing... I dont have alot of anem experience & I was hoping someone who did would respond... but it sounds like the foot is damaged & this is causing serious problems with the anem.

Could anything have torn the foot?
 
I don't think so. I'm trying to attach a pic but so far no luck.
I still wish someone who might know would tell me whether I should try moving it to some new water -same parameters?
 
Forgot to add that my lighting is the H4 Solaris - so that should be plenty of light.

I tried uploading the JPG file to my gallery, but RC said it was too big, but it is only 1.44 MB's so don't know how to fix it.

It does look pretty bad (sorry). I would not expect it to make it when in that condition. How old is the tank? Last week were the tentacles sticky? How much flow do you have in the area where the nem is located (mine prefer moderate flow)? The color looks like you have enough light. How long was the nem at the LFS (possible that it was colored to get a higher price)?

Thanks for posting the picture. I've got to work on learning how to do that.

Premium Aquatics is very reputable. I believe they had it for a few weeks. and don't think they dyed it - they are a sponsor here on RC and I have dealt with them numerous times.

The tentacles were sticky at first and then became less so. It's mouth was gaping last week which I know is a bad sign. I tried giving it a piece of thawed out krill but it spit it out after a few minutes - it was a nice size about 4"x6" and hung out in the bottom right hand corner of the tank where there is moderate to high flow from the OM 4way. But it never really attached to the rock or tank side - the tank is about 2 and 1/2 mo. old but it has the live rock, some water and corals from my first 55g. The only thing different that I can think of is that I added a diatom filter onto the sump (tank plumbing runs under the crawl space to our garage next to the family room where the tank is located.) about 4 days ago. I've been having a problem with lots of floaters in the tank and wanted to polish the water. If it was that, it hasn't affected anything else negatively that I know of.

Anyone know if nems are bothered by a diatom filter?

QUESTION:
Would you remove it now, before it begins to melt? I could put it in the refugium in the garage where it would be easier to get to when and I guess IF it disintegrates. My main tank is 30"deep and will be harder to remove when dead.
 
UPDATE
All my fish started hanging out around the nem and it kept looking worse. So I got it out of the tank and it started falling apart as I removed it, so definitely dead. I won't get another until the tank is covered in coraline and I know more about how to keep them alive.

Sorry about the nem. I would wait until your tank is at least a year old before trying another one, they really are sensitive to water quality and stabality that is only available in a very mature tank.

white noodle things coming out the foot doesnt sound good i would say that i was dying, try take it out of the tank and if it STINKS then its definitely gone
